Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the hosted cloud version of Stemma at stemma.dev. By creating an account you agree to them. The open-source code is separately licensed under the MIT License.
1. The service
Stemma provides LLM observability tooling: an SDK to log prompt calls from your applications, and a dashboard to inspect, analyse, and compare those logs. The hosted service is provided as-is. Self-hosting is always available as an alternative.
2. Your account
- You must provide a valid email address to register.
- You are responsible for keeping your API keys and login credentials secure.
- You may not share your account or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Stemma to log, store, or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent any part of the service.
- Use the service to benchmark or directly compete with Stemma without permission.
- Exceed plan limits by automated or fraudulent means.
- Log personally identifiable information without appropriate legal basis and user consent.
4. Plans and billing
The Free plan allows up to 10,000 logged calls per month at no charge. When this limit is reached, logging stops for the remainder of the month — your application continues to function normally.
Paid plans (Builder, Pro) are billed monthly. Payments are processed by Stripe. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of a charge.
5. Your data
You own your data. Stemma does not claim any rights over the prompt content you log. You can export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is stored and processed.
6. Uptime and availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime SLA on the Free plan. The service may be interrupted for maintenance or due to circumstances outside our control. For production-critical workloads, self-hosting is recommended.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity. On termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Stemma is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Use the service at your own risk.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stemma and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the product or applicable law. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
